About the BBA (Finance) Program

The Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance – BBA (Finance) program at Malpi International College, Kathmandu,Nepal is curated to provide a sound knowledge base conceptual understanding and skills in the area of business and management with a specific focus on finance, banking, and insurance.

The BBA (Finance) degree is a four-year program spread over 8 semesters. A student needs to complete course work, project work, and internship to graduate. Students are required to enroll in 5 courses every semester. Each course has a minimum of about 48 contact hours.

The internship lasts for a period of six to eight weeks and is scheduled during the 6th-semester. The college facilitates internships for all the students enrolled in the program. This is done with the help of the Center for Career Guidance and Placement. During the internship, a student is supervised by a faculty supervisor assigned from the college and a supervisor from the respective company where he/she is doing the internship.

BBA(Finance) graduates will have a solid understanding of business management, specialized knowledge in corporate finance, banking, insurance, investment, and capital markets, and be familiar with business contexts in Nepal and beyond. 

They will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, proficiency in using electronic media and computers for organizational solutions, the ability to work independently and in teams, and an awareness of environmental, social, and ethical factors affecting business decisions.
